For a generation that avoids conflict, awkwardness and tension at all costs, DoorDash did the business-minded thing and put a price on it. For only $9.99 a month, DashPass subscribers can “Say it in a Dash”, an in-app subscription service that lets subscribers deliver their bad news with delicious food. Conflict avoidance can finally be done in good taste.

DoorDash carefully crafted packs for the more common cases of bad news, comfort food for a soon-to-be broken heart and 6-packs for flaking on “the big night.” But for the more unique snafus and apologies, subscribers had the option of picking together their own pack with the personal touch of a custom note.
